Cedarside Campsite at Harmony Hall

“Cedarside Campsite” -- Primitive tent-camping site: On the edge of woods, bordered by grass of an open, regularly-maintained expansive lawn, the primitive tent site is flat and protected. The floor is mostly pine straw, hence somewhat padded for your tent. The campsite is relatively private, situated about 100 yards from Harmony Hall’s original manor house. A large cedar tree and strategic landscaping shield campsite from direct view. Other features include:

• River rock fire ring

• Existing wood pile

• “Pawley’s Island” hammock for two, plus pillows

• Entry gate, separate drive access, parking approximately 50 yards from the campsite

• No bathroom facilities

The Oaks Campsite at Harmony Hall

“The Oaks Campsite” -- Primitive tent-camping site: Under the branches of two (2) immense, 300+ year-old oak trees. Otherwise the area is open, meadow-like, and looks back to Harmony Hall’s manor house about 100 yards to the west. Accessed by paths that are regularly maintained. Several alternative primitive tent sites, mostly flat, surrounding a central fire ring. The floor is grass & pine straw, so somewhat padded for your tent. The campsite is mostly open, hence less private than other sites at Harmony Hall. Other features include:

• River rock fire ring

• Existing wood pile

• Stone seating, arranged in a 30-foot continuous crescent shape, around the fire ring

• Entry gate, separate drive access, parking approximately 50 yards from the campsite

• No bathroom facilities


Highpoint Campground at Harmony Hall

“Highpoint Campground” -- Primitive tent-camping area: Tucked into woods adjacent to a power company right-of-way, the campground is at the highest point of Harmony Hall’s 25 acres. Mature hardwood trees form a canopy above shading a smooth, level forest floor below. Accessed by serpentine paths that are regularly maintained. Several alternative primitive tent sites, all flat. Central “community” fire ring nearby. The campground is the most remote, hence most private of all sites from Harmony Hall’s manor home. Harmony Church Road travels in front of, and below, the campground at a distance of about 35 yards. However, it is lightly travelled. Other features include:

• Modest existing wood pile

• Entry gate, separate drive access, parking approximately 200 yards from the campsite

• No bathroom facilities
