A well-preserved example of antebellum Georgia, only 75 minutes south of downtown Atlanta

Our address is technically Woodbury, which is a charming town 6 miles to the east. Ironically, we’re actually closer to both Greenville, the county seat 5 miles to our north, and Warm Springs - 5 miles to our south. We are most proximate to the unincorporated hamlet of “Harris City”, which features a round-about on Roosevelt Highway, just 1 mile west of our location at “Barnes Crossroads”. Being in-between these various small towns means that we’re in the middle of nowhere… which was one of the attractions to owner Bill Lee from the very start!

genteel living in a rural mid-west Georgia setting

The historic Barnes Plantation, now known as “Harmony Hall”, blends the best of its antebellum charm with the functionality of an extensive renovation & addition made around 2008. Once a 2,000 acre cotton plantation, our property is now a more manageable 25 acres in size. We hope this website will enable our friends and neighbors, both near and far, to see a sampling of all that Harmony Hall has to offer.

We hope you’ll arrange a visit to Harmony Hall soon.
